Our passengers' health and safety is our #1 priority, and we are working tirelessly to assist our customers in light of the COVID-19 outbreak.

In continuation of our TierOne Travel Specialist series, I would like to introduce another member of our talented team Angela Kibsey.

When I was interviewing with Angela, I could not help myself but smile, as her profile almost brought tears to my eyes! This is a travel specialist that loves to help others and is motivated everyday by her clients. Her top specialization areas include, but are not limited to Destination Weddings, Sun and Beach, Cruises (including River Cruises) and South Pacific.
Angela loves to travel herself and has been to many destinations….multiple times over, which has given her a unique, enlightened perception on travel and embracing new cultures. But, what really lights her up, is the ability to form friendships and relationships with her clients that she truly “treasures.”
She creates these amazing bonds by using creativity, knowledge and a genuine human connection to create dream vacations each and every time. Her overall goal is to take the stress of planning a vacation off the client and allow them time to relax, rejuvenate and soak up their experience (along with the sun).
My biggest takeaway from my interview with Angela was her favourite lesson learned from travelling: “Don’t sweat the small stuff – that’s what us travel agents are here to support you with” I just loved this piece of advice! Anyone who has travelled, can resonate with the ups and downs and uncontrollable events of travelling but, to know that there is someone in your court, willing to support you through all those unknowns is extremely comforting and relaxing.

Q&A

What is your favourite client story?: My favourite client story is a lovey, dovey feel good story. I first met my clients when they were dating and I sent them to Cancun. The second time I booked them, the boyfriend proposed to his girlfriend while on their trip. The third trip, I planned a Destination Wedding for them. The fifth trip was a Babymoon trip. The sixth trip was to Disneyland with their new little family. I have known this couple from the beginning of their relationship and to see how they have changed over the last few years is amazing. I am so happy I am able to be a part of their travel experiences.
What is the best piece of travel advice you have ever received?:  Best piece of travel advice I have ever received is – try something out of your comfort zone. Challenge yourself to try things that normally give you anxiety. The more you do this, the more that anxiety will fade away. The reason this works so well while traveling is because everything is already so different, what’s one more new/uncomfortable experience. Try a new food or talk to the locals.
Listening to Angela talk about travel and the kinds of experiences she has created for her clients is truly inspiring. She loves what she does, and it shows in all areas of her work, from repeat clients to first-time travellers Angela has them fully supported all the way.
